It's me, your girl Shanell. I would like to give you all a warm welcome to Golden Botanical!
I’m 29 years old, a Capricorn, and I work in the energy sector as a Safety Representative while also being a part-time student pursuing further education in Occupational Health and Safety. My life is a mix of busy workdays, school, and finding little pockets of calm wherever I can. When I’m not working or studying, you will probably find me playing Stardew Valley, rewatching Sailor Moon, planning my next trip, enjoying 30 lbs of sushi, or spending time with my two very loved and spoiled dogs, Brodie and Charlie.
Before Golden Botanical was ever a brand, gardening was my safe place. During some of the harder seasons of my life, caring for my plants became a quiet ritual that helped me slow down, breathe, and feel grounded again. It taught me patience, gentleness, and the importance of caring for something with intention.
Over time, I noticed that the same care I gave my garden was exactly what I wanted for my skin, too. But I struggled to find skincare that truly felt aligned with that softer, more mindful approach. A lot of what I tried felt harsh, overly fragranced, or disconnected from the kind of gentle routines that had become so important to me.
That is when the idea for Golden Botanical began.
I wanted to create gentle and affordable skincare that feels calm, thoughtful, and intentional. Products that support the skin barrier, provide care for sensitive or reactive skin, and feel more like a small daily ritual than just another box to check off in a routine. Something that feels like taking a moment for yourself.
Golden Botanical is more than just a business to me. It is a reflection of my heart, my healing, and my belief that nature can offer comfort, balance, and quiet strength when we take the time to slow down and listen.
My Vision.
At Golden Botanical, my vision is to create skincare that feels safe, gentle, and supportive for the long term. I aim to build a trusted brand known for thoughtfully formulated, barrier-supportive products that care for all skin types. Everything I create is guided by a balance of science, nature, and intention, with the belief that skincare should support your skin’s natural rhythm, not fight against it.
My Mission.
My mission is to create skincare that feels calm, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive. Each product is carefully formulated using evidence-informed research, clinical insight, and intentionally chosen botanical ingredients to ensure effectiveness without compromising gentleness. I focus on fragrance-free, non-comedogenic formulas that support the skin barrier and encourage long-term skin health. Above all, I believe skincare should feel like a small daily ritual — something grounding, reassuring, and kind to both your skin and your well-being.
My Approach to Sustainability.
Caring for the planet matters just as much to me as caring for your skin. Every choice I make for Golden Botanical is guided by that belief. I prioritize organic and ethically sourced ingredients and stay away from harsh or unnecessary chemicals, choosing formulas that are gentle, thoughtful, and mindful of their impact.
